There are no real reasons to start blogging. People read the
blog of person A because people are interested in hearing the opinion
of person A, one way or another, through articles, interviews or blog
posts.
person A matters => a lot of people are reading Person A's blog
But the reverse isn't necessarily true... But it also ain't
necessarily false. But I am not the kind of guy that clings to that
narrow possiblity. I also find this Product mildy amusing. :-)
The only reason I blog is to document my C++ hackery and coding
thoughts in a more straightforward way in order to keep this homepage
alive. I also don't expect comments or heavy traffic.
I had to install Python 2.6, docutils (snapshot) and the sandbox
snapshots to get the whole page creation scripts (documented here)
running again. At that point I realized the setup.py installation
process in python is actually pretty cool. Yeah.
Basically, I added comments to my articles and created a folder called
blog. That's about it, I probably only need a bit more python
scripting to create a javascript date calendar and more sensible
navigation (date based) but that's about it.
Ok, hmm... RSS feed, tagging and cloud-tags for articles... No way.
I ain't got time right now.
